Created to Worship

RISE UP WARRIORS … We are created to WORSHIP!

With the melody of the wind tangoing in a seamless fashion against the flowy curtains in my room, I woke up from my sleepy slumber and opened my Bible. In the early hours of the morning, my spirit fell silent in a moment of awe-struck adoration. Looking down at my Bible, I read Psalm 95:6. This verse says, “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker.” Reaching over for my dream journal and cowboy pen, I recorded what my spiritual eyes awakened to as I drifted into sweet slumber last night.

Standing still in unparalleled awe…I watched as God showed me a new form of His majesty. In the past, when God has given me prophetic dreams, He’s appeared in ways I can understand. Last night however, I stood completely and utterly speechless, with my gaze fixed on my King. Looking up, I saw God…He was massivebigger than the earth! He was covered in a mixture of white clay and marble. I couldn’t see His face, but I knew it was Him. Looking up, I was captivated by His splendor and majesty. I saw two white angels in front of Him, they were so much smaller, yet still so big. Both angles were facing each other in front of God and they each had a singular drum. Standing still with my gaze fixed, I watched as both angels played their drum for God. I was captivated by the angels reverent worship of awe-struck praise!

Waking up, this image played over and over in my mind, imbedding itself within my soul. Speechless, I got out of bed and pulled out one of my journals to write down the dream God gave me. Sitting in silence, my whole body filled with a re-awakened revelation, we are created to WORSHIP God alone! We aren’t created to worship our emotions, money, idols, fame, relationships, opportunities, or even marriage. We are created for the sole purpose of worshiping God! This means that we bow down in worship through every storm, emotion, and joyful moment of celebration! It means that we RISE UP and build war rooms to wage war with the word of God! It means that we surrender what we feel to RISE UP in God’s Truth! Warrior, God is the answer to every prayer we lift up, question we have, emotion we feel, and spiritual, physical, and mental storm we walk through.

Psalm 95:1-6 says, “Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise! For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In His hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are His also. The sea is His, for He made it, and His hands formed the dry land. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!”

There’s no question “if” we will worship but “what” we will worship. As you enter your weekend, I want to encourage you to RISE UP WARRIOR and ask yourself, “What am I bowing down to and worshiping when “waters rise high and low?” … Are you bowing down to your job? Are you bowing down to finances? Are you bowing down to friendships, relationships, or situationships? Are you bowing down to glamorizing sin or cultural pressure? Are you bowing down in reverent awe and worship to God?

My heart longs to meet, experience, and worship Jesus every day of my life. Having a steadfast heart of worship is something we get to RISE UP and choose daily! Warrior, all that we have on earth is temporary, and what we choose to worship in these moments matter! I want to encourage you to RISE UP WARRIOR and open your spiritual eyes, hands, mind, and heart before the Lord. Release any form of idolized worship you might be holding onto and run to Jesus. Everything changes when we kneel, lift our hands, and have Spirit of worship described in Psalm 95:1-6. As you enter the weekend, I want to encourage you to come before the Lord, lift your hands, and sing a melody of praise just for His ears… and never forget, you Warrior, are created to RISE UP and WORSHIP GOD!
