He is Risen!

Happy Monday Warriors!

If you’re new here, welcome! My heart is overjoyed that you found my little corner on the internet. May the Lord shine upon you, be gracious to you, and speak to your soul through this week’s blog post! This week’s blog post gives us courage to RISE UP in faith because God is RISEN!

Celebrating our Risen King yesterday, my soul re-awakened to the realness, magnitude, and ultimate gift of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross for all of the sins of the world. With my hands lifted in worship, my head bowed, and tears filling my eyes, a repeated melody left my lips from my heart, “Thank you, thank you, thank you Jesus for dying for my sins and Rising Up on the third day!”

Warrior, God sent His one and only Son in the form of a human to come and share His way, truth, and life, so that those who believed in Him would be saved. Jesus bore our sins on the cross to bring us into a personal relationship with God by grace through faith, He rose on the third day, and He is coming back for His people!

Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” As we read Genesis, the imagery of God breathing the world into existence captivates my heart. As we continue reading, there are two words that God spoke as He created the world and the animals that jump off the page, God said, “It’s good.” When God created mankind He said, “It’s very good!” Warrior, God created a world that was beautiful and bountiful, lacking nothing! In Genesis 3, we read how Adam and Eve disobeyed the Lord, causing sin to enter the world. This caused brokenness, broken relationships, and emptiness apart from the God, but Gospel didn’t stop there! While this side of Heaven is fallen, we can hold onto the promise of everlasting life in Jesus Christ. God created a covenant with Jesus that gives us the opportunity to experience a closeness with Him simply by having faith!

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only son, so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” -John 3:16

“For the wage of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life.” -Romans 6:23

“For I have passed onto you as most important what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.” -1 Corinthians 15:3-4

Warrior, the the tomb was EMPTY! When we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. We will be filled with the Holy Spirit, His presence, and His word, which is sharper than any two-edged sword! We aren’t saved by works but by grace through faith. We must believe and Rise Up in faith! As we Rise Up Warrior, we get to walk confidently in the light and truth of God’s Word, share the Good News, experience the presence, forgiveness, freedom, and love of God, and silence the lies and attacks from the enemy! I want to encourage you to take time the next few weeks and walk through the life of Jesus in the Gospels. As you do this, think about the three questions below.

1. What did Jesus do when He rose on the third day?

2. What can I learn from the life of Jesus?

3. I can Rise Up as a (son/daughter) of God by __.”

When the Holy Spirit dwells in our Spirit, everything changes! The way we view the world changes, the way we perceive eternity changes, and the way we interact with others changes. We begin to shift our focus from an earthly mindset to a heavenly perspective with purpose! We will begin to use the active, living, breathing Word of God to silence the lies of the enemy! We will Rise Up and believe the truth of God’s Word in a world full of confusion. We will begin to live as unrivaled sons and daughters of Jesus Christ, as heirs to the Kingdom of Heaven, as walking ambassadors on earth, and as unique soldiers!

We will believe in our heart that when the world says we are unlovable, GOD SAYS we are forever loved (Romans 8:38-39), when the world says we are weak, GOD SAYS that He makes us strong (Psalm 18:32), When the world says that we are scarred, GOD SAYS that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), When the opinions of the world tell us that all we are is sinners, GOD tells us that we are forgiven (1 John 2:12), when the world says that we are alone, GOD SAYS, “I am always with you” (Joshua 1:9), when the world says we are without purpose, GOD SAYS, “I made you with purpose” (Esther 4:14), and when the world says we aren’t worth it, GOD SAYS, “Jesus died for you BECAUSE you are worth it” (John 3:16)!

God will never ask us to do something He first hasn’t done. God showed us that while life will have moments of uncertainty, hardship, and spiritual endurance, we can RISE UP in peace, unity, love, and purpose because of the promise of Jesus Christ! So, I want to encourage you to follow the steps of Jesus and Rise Up every day, with courage, heavenly bravery, peace, unity, and love, in the moments it’s hard to breathe and the moments you feel on top of the world. We get to RISE UP WARRIOR because HE IS RISEN!
