God is GOOD!
RISE UP WARRIOR, God’s plans for your life are GOOD!
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” -Jeremiah 29:11
Do you know that God’s plans for your life are good?
What does “good” mean to you? Does it mean wealth and early retirement? Does it mean never feeling pain or losing someone you love? Does it mean getting everything your heart desires? Does it mean laying your cross down and following Jesus? Does it mean dwelling in God’s presence and experiencing spiritual blessings?
I’ve never doubted that God’s plans for my life are good, because I am a child of God. I’ve experienced the overwhelming love of God, the abundant joy of the Holy Spirit, continual provision and protection from Jesus, and have seen pockets of prophetic dreams Jesus spoke over my life slowly unfold. While it seems almost natural to see God’s goodness in moments of joy and ease, it’s important to keep our gaze on God, because even in the most uncertain of moments, when things don’t seem “good,” we will see how God IS good!
In moments of trial and persecution, I believed that God makes all things beautiful and purposeful. This past week, I put a small pause on final detail prep for RISE UP WARRIORS next reveal to be with my mom in the hospital. With a sudden family emergency, I found myself sitting in a hospital chair, praying for God’s goodness, mercy, and healing. Looking at my sister with tears in my eyes, I asked, “how is this good?” Without hesitation, my oldest sister hugged me and said, “God is good and He makes all things new and beautiful.”
Listening to my sister, my spirit quickened with awareness, an awareness I know in my soul but lost track of in a scary moment. Just because our circumstances may not seem good, that doesn’t mean God isn’t. It’s time to RISE UP WARRIOR and tune our heart to sing His praise when things don’t seem “good.” Regardless of what we walk through, God IS good and if we keep our heart and eyes on Him, we will experience His goodness and mercy, making all things new!
The Lord said to Abram:
Go from your land, your relatives, and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation, I will bless you, I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, I will curse anyone who treats you with contempt, and all the peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” -Genesis 12:1-3
Have you ever read the story of Abraham and Sarah? Genesis 12:1-3 shows us that the Lord spoke to Abram, giving him a prophetic message to Rise Up and follow Him, for he would be blessed! The Lord promised Abram and Sarah a son, but He didn’t tell them when He would bless Sarah’s womb. Years and years and years went by, and Abram and Sarah had not yet had a baby. At this point, I’m sure Sarah thought, “how is this good?” Instead of keeping her heart and eyes on God’s timing, Sarah and Abram took time into their own hands and Abram had a baby with Hagar. In a moment where things didn’t seem good, Abraham and Sarah lost sight that God’s plans for their life were GOOD! In God’s purposeful timing, He blessed Sarah’s womb and they had a son. The timing in which they had a baby led to the genealogy of Jesus!
I don’t know what you’re walking through right now, and I don’t know what you’re praying for or over, but I know that God IS good. He makes all things new, He restores the broken-hearted, He gives vision to the lost, He gives salvation to those who love and believe in Him, He provides, protects, and leads those who believe in Him, He heals the sick (in ways we pray for and ways we don’t expect), He calls us by name to Rise Up and follow Him, He sends the Holy Spirit to fill our souls with joy, He offers everlasting love, He forgives with mercy, He is GOOD, and His plans for your life are GOOD!
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His faithful love endures forever. -Psalm 136:1
It’s time to RISE UP WARRIOR, and tune your heart to sing His praise, eyes to see His presence, ears to hear Him, and soul to believe that no matter what you walk through, the valley of the shadow of death or the most beautiful moments of life, God is GOOD and His plans for your life are GOOD!!
